Gestalt therapy in Todmorden
Some people visit my website because they are curious about their way of being and want to explore that. It's more likely though that you are stressed, maybe you would even say that you are in distress, and that you are looking for help with something specific; one or more difficult relationships, a job that demands more than it supports you to do, or maybe events in the past that you find difficult to put behind you.
If it feels okay for you to do so, stop and notice your next in-breath, and then breathe out slowly through your mouth.
I can offer you a different kind of space from the ones you typically find yourself in, a place where you can be accepted as you are, where our differences and similarities can be equally valued. We can spend some time each week exploring the shape your life and learning how that shape might change, to become more satisfying, more grounded, more vital.
My name is Jay, and I am a Gestalt Therapist in advanced training. I work from the Kindness Hub in Todmorden where I see people face to face. I also work with people online or by phone.
Since 2021 I've worked with people who sought help through Manchester Mind, LGBT Foundation, Noah's Ark Centre, or in my private practice.
A lot of the people I've worked with have been queer or neurodivergent or had long term health conditions. It's okay if that's not you. That's about me and about my experience, not about what you need to bring.
Many people find they are able to talk to me about things that feel off-limits with other people. A clinical supervisor appraising my work has told me that I have "a deep acceptance of difference." I'd like the chance to meet you, to learn about what's important to you, and to give you a space to explore that in a different way.
